Jasmine Watson
Jasmine Watson is a self proclaimed "creator" who is currently a junior at Memphis East High School. Aside from poetry and writing, she is passionate about social issues, Beyonce, music, theatre, and the art world in general. Her main goal in life is 'to have an empire like Oprah'. Jasmine plans to reach that goal with degrees in journalism and political science. |
Essence Davis
Essence Leenie' Davis is a junior at St. George's Independent School. She is currently a member of the Wilson Society, Varsity Track Team, NAACP Youth Council, Meet in the Middle Diversity Club, Art Society, Memphis Challenge, Bridge Builders, and Write on Speak Out. She describes her poetry style as effective, because she gets to the core of the issue (which is reflective in her stage name: Essence)

Vernecelyn Allen
Vernecelyn was born in Memphis Tennessee, on November 6, 1998. Since the fifth grade, she has been interested in writing, and often expresses herself through her words at school and during her free time. She is currently a junior at Central High School, and in the future, plans to go to New York University and study abroad during her studies. Due to her interest in languages and culture, she exposes herself to many languages daily, but is currently focused primarily on becoming fluent in Korean. One day she hopes to earn her all of her pilot's licenses and ratings in the hopes if becoming an international commercial airline pilot. |
